A very well handled harmonious overall colour palette Kev. It really sets a mood. Great layout as well, the story just flows like water (is it water??? :) Lovely stuff!
As I've said to Kev, this is a fantastic page - quite a way to end this initial arc. The next one is already shaping up rather nicely.
Conor: There does seem to be a little too much relish in there (and I don't mean the magic spew either!!).
Matthew: We are discussing it. We might put out an electronic version of each arc so that people can read it in other ways that might suit them better (and it could reach a different audience who might not bother with a web comic). Of course, the pages are originally at a printable size and resolution so if there is any interest we could certainly put out a book collecting something like the first couple of chapters (if there isn't any interest we might still do a print-on-demand edition so we can all buy one for ourselves ;) ).
We are few, but the ideas are manifold, and the intentions probably far beyond our capabilities... The Emperor drives a knackered old bus whilst five dangerous drawing types throw visual roadblocks, chicanes and sleeping policemen at him - will it end up in a ditch? Almost certainly... but it should be an interesting ride.
Hey guys- I love that Watery SFX. Kev, that is a serious piece of artistry there.
ReplyDeleteYou can almost see the smile on Kev's face as he was doing this page :)
ReplyDeleteWaited until the last page was up before I read any of this- great stuff all round, folks.
ReplyDeleteBolt is right about that watery SFX- inspired, Jim.
I'm running out of superlatives. Truly, a wonderful page.
ReplyDeleteThats great.
ReplyDeleteLooking good fellows - are we going to see this collected when all is said and done?
