A riddle, wrapped in a mystery inside a conundrum! Very nice piece of work kev, your layout is smooth and undemanding on the reader (I mean it works well :) with great artwork and lovely colouring! The pattern background is very effective in amping up the confusion and that muddy colouring on the fry up sets the scene for the grill and the griller!
Storming work - it has everything: strong character work (as we really need to sell his reactions), weirdness (carried over into the background) and a lovely credit box too. You can tell something is very wrong with Mick thanks to the subtle clue of his big grimy thumbs not being buried in the bacon and eggs on the plate ;)
Fantastic work Kev, some of your best yet in my humble opinion. You do gritty and grotesque very well, and your layout gives for a very smooth pace. Good work all round to you and the other artists on page 1 and 2. I shall be following with anticipation.
We are few, but the ideas are manifold, and the intentions probably far beyond our capabilities... The Emperor drives a knackered old bus whilst five dangerous drawing types throw visual roadblocks, chicanes and sleeping policemen at him - will it end up in a ditch? Almost certainly... but it should be an interesting ride.
Intrigueing, nice work Kev, I'm hooked. What is the job? Where is here? Can I have extra bacon instead of mushrooms?
ReplyDeleteVery nice sir! Mick looks suitably grotesque.

ReplyDeleteThis is superb Kev, you've really gone to town on this! Everything works. Like Philip said, I think it's one of the best pages of yours I've seen.
ReplyDeleteLovely work!
ReplyDeleteCheers and thanks for the mention on your blog - I think you win the prize for the first blog to post about us (that one of us doesn't run). ;)
