This is great - I've had a chance to be a bit anal and look at a large version and the line work is spot on. You've also capture the expressions well, which in a talking head scene can be difficult (even for real actors sometimes ;) )
I've read all the pages so far. Great story. However, she looks like a fish person on this page. Her eyes are way to far apart. It should be easy for the colorist to fix in photoshop.
We are few, but the ideas are manifold, and the intentions probably far beyond our capabilities... The Emperor drives a knackered old bus whilst five dangerous drawing types throw visual roadblocks, chicanes and sleeping policemen at him - will it end up in a ditch? Almost certainly... but it should be an interesting ride.
it's shaping up nicely!
ReplyDeleteExcellent stuff, James!
ReplyDeleteLove it James - it worked in black & white and it looks great in colour too. Love the easter eggs! We should deffo put more of these in.

ReplyDeleteThanks very much gent's, its fun playing with other peoples toys looking forward to seeing where we take this.
ReplyDeleteIt might be because I've been reading some of his work recently but there is a bit of a Paul Grist feel to this - which can't be a bad thing!!
ReplyDeleteCan't see it myself, though I do love Grists' stuff.

ReplyDeleteIf I still have the files somewhere on my mac I'll have a look never occurred to me at the time but she doesn't look quite right.
